Black Friday

Master Crafted Miniatures isn’t holding a Black Friday sale. Instead, the proceeds from all sales this Friday will be donated to the Anthony Nolan charity, fighting against blood cancer and working to improve the lives of those affected.

I know a family whose little boy, George, has been fighting for the last couple of years. With the support of his family, blood donations and the wonderful staff of the NHS, he had beaten it back. Recently, however, they were given the terrible news that his leukaemia has returned. This means he has a long, hard fight ahead of him. Charities like Anthony Nolan make a real difference to people in his situation.

There are many ways in which each of us can make a difference. Donation is the easiest, and there are several great charities to which you can donate, but there are other things you can do which are even more important:

Give blood. Whilst you’re there, get them to test you for platelet donation, as few of us have high enough platelet counts to do this. Register as a stem cell donor. You may never be called upon but, if you are, you will be saving a life.

So, if you buy through the MCM store on Friday 25th of November, you’ll get yourself some stuff for our funny little hobby, and help save lives at the same time. If I have nothing you want, try to donate. But, whatever else you do, register:

Store is Live! (again)

The store is once again accepting orders. Slight hiccup getting open again this week – with the compressor needing replacement parts, I haven’t cast as much stock as I had intended. Stock levels, however, are correct and backorders are possible as usual.

Exciting for Master Crafted Miniatures: we will have a stand at Salute 2017! Whilst the MCM store is secondary to industry freelance work, this is something I’ve wanted to do for a while. The plan is to get some new releases ready for the show, and to run some discount offers on the day. More details, of course, closer to the event.

Store Closed Until Late October

The store is now closed whilst we do final preparation for the wedding and then we’re away for a few weeks in Japan. When we return, I’ll be doing a full stock count, casting up some stock, finishing the new workshop fittings, and then I’ll re-open the store. I can’t give an exact date for this right now, but will update once we return. Expect it to be towards the end of October.

Temporary Store Closure

It’s 9 days until the wedding, which means 3 days until I close the store on Sunday night. A week of last minute preparations ahead, followed by 3 weeks travelling across Japan.

Once we’re back from honeymoon, I’ll do a full stock count, cast up some stock, finish the workshop fittings, and re-open. I can’t give an exact date for this right now, but will update once we return. Expect it to be towards the end of October.
