Master Crafted Miniatures is moving!

…again!

This time should be fairly permanent as, thanks to my fantastic clients (GCT Studios, Mantic Games, Palladium Books and Mad Robot Miniatures, amongst others), and my awesome MCM customers, I have been able to buy a house with my fiancée.

This time, the move is from Cosham, near Portsmouth, to Fareham, a little along the coast. With the new house comes a new office and a new workshop. The former is fairly easy to set up (though I have all sorts of ideas about an adjustable-height or fixed standing desk), the workshop will take a little more effort. Combined with the UK’s unbelievably slow-to-connect internet providers, this means there will be some disruption to my ability to receive and fulfil orders, as well as cast backorders. Feel free to order as normal, but expect delays. Rather than shut the store down over the next couple of weeks, I’m going to introduce a site-wide notice to this effect.

Once the new workshop is up and running, around the 12th of July, I’ll be aiming to come back with a bit of a bang. I’ve got some great new releases lined up and will make a sale coupon available for the first week.

New Postage Options

I’m currently trialing new postage options on the store. Any difficulties at checkout, please let me know.

These changes allow EU shipping to be separated from the rest of the world, now £3 compared to £4 previously. I guess we’ll have see whether tomorrow’s vote makes that change pointless!

I am also trialing free delivery in the Portsea area of Hampshire for orders of £14 or more. Postcodes PO1-6 & PO12-16.

I may also be able to introduce tracked options in the future.

Torsos, Chequers and… Jazz Hands?

Hand is mostly healed and I’m back playing rugby, though I still suck! But this means I’m also back casting in reasonable quantities 🙂

This month I’ve got a motley crew of releases:

  • A re-print of the Lion Rampant pads. Much crisper now.
  • A variation on the chequered pads – discs with a rim on which you can paint a symbol or use a transfer.
  • A re-release of the Alpha-pattern torsos.
  • My first weapon set – scimitars.
  • A set of hand gestures for power-armoured warriors, in left and right sets.

The hand sets would have been released last month, but have been very popular on an exclusive pre-order. With my hand injury, I had trouble keeping up with casting for pre-orders and had to delay the release. I finally have some in stock, so I’ve decided to push the release now. They’ve been so popular pre-release that I’ll be making a second set with more… amusing gestures.

Looking forward to Salute this Saturday, and spending a couple of hours in the afternoon running demo games on the Bushido stand.
